This is my attempt at a relaxing, soothing desktop. Very happy with the setup, using PekWM with #! CrunchBang Linux. I really like PekWM, I find its config files easier than Openbox's. And I like how PekWM themes allow for pixmaps.

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. about your conky.. is there a shadow on the font youre using?

Last Deviation : Fear of the Dark
draw_shades yes
You can change it to "no" to turn off the shadow. You can also customise the shadow colour with the line default_shade_color 111111 (or whatever colour you want it to be).
